I participated in the Kayaking and Meditation Retreat at Sharpham and had the most wonderful 5 days with a diverse group of people. The woodland campsite was the perfect setting, the bell tents were lovely and immersed in stunning nature and the food was INCREDIBLE. Meal after meal it just kept getting better, so fresh and healthy with so much flavour, you would never know it was all vegan, we were spoilt. There were several people on the retreat who were on their second or third visit and I can totally see why, I am already planning to return this summer. If you are looking to disconnect to reconnect I couldn’t recommend one of the retreats at Sharpham House more highly

A very beautiful retreat, with inspiring leaders and such nice team camp managers, who took great care of us. It brought me much connection with nature, a sense of harmony and fulfilment.
I recommend this retreat to anyone who feels appealed by the perspective of a few days among the trees.

I spent a magical 3 nights on a woodland women’s retreat at Sharpham. It was a glorious mix of quiet/alone time and group time. We were woken by the beautiful sound of one of our course leaders singing and also to glorious birdsong, what a way to start the day! We enjoyed movement and meditation on the lawn in the early mornings, we were invited to connect to nature through writing, song, making of mandalas and walking meditation amongst other things. The food was delicious and the camp site, although simple, had everything we needed. I really switched off and I left feeling happier and recharged. Thank you all very much… I hope to be back.

I have just returned from a three-night women’s woodland retreat at Sharpham House. I am an experienced mindfulness and meditation practitioner and this was my first residential retreat experience. From beginning to end, the retreat was everything that I hoped it would be, and so much more. The woodland and campsite are the perfect setting to let go of all outside influences and distractions; the sense of belonging and community was uplifting and supportive, but if it’s solitude you are seeking, there is enough space to follow your own agenda, and there are periods of silence included in the retreat; the mindfulness and meditation practices are varied, insightful and nurturing, guided by warm and authentic leaders (Nina and Nadia were just wonderful as our guides!), and the food is absolutely delicious! I will certainly be returning to Sharpham to experience another of the many retreats on offer.

I had a truly amazing experience in the magical woods at Sharpham. Every single thing about the place , the people, the food, the activities (and the silence) surpassed all of my expectations.
A special shout out to Lindsay and Barry, our beautiful facilitators. Thank you for giving so much, for your genuineness and inspiration. I met a wonderful group of people there who I won’t forget.
    I’ll most definitely be back!
