A beautiful place to stay right on Hadrian’s Wall – and in our opinion the best section too! Recently converted farmhouse and barn, very tastefully furnished and decorated. Our double room was very nice and spacious with a perfect countryside view, and at weekends there’s Art in the Barn showing fascinating installations, and a cafe at the side serving a good range of hot and cold drinks and snacks, ice creams and lollies and cake (best carrot cake ever!). Amanda and Kit are the perfect hosts and our 24 hours at Green Croft on the Wall was just perfect. Can’t wait for our next visit!

We recently took two creative courses at Green Croft on the Wall. Amanda was the most welcoming host, smiling and friendly from our first meeting. Rebecca who ran the courses was knowledgeable and interesting, brought all of the materials needed, and was a great guide on the learning journey [hands on but not imposing]. The location is easy to find, and lunch in the grounds was lovely. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back.

Fantastic! Right next to Hadrian’s Wall too. Lovely train to Haltwhistle

The class was brilliant – relaxing but creative. Green Croft is a very welcoming place – both the facilities (and cake) and the setting – finishing the day off with a walk to Thrilwell Castle completed a marvellous day.

Lovely stay in a bell tent for two. The stay was very affordable. And you get two proper beds, a table, and a log stove. Outside theme’s a seating area with firepit and a compost toilet plus gas heated shower. In the barn, you have access to a kitchen area.
