We stayed at the Mount BnB in July and it was the perfect place to base ourselves for a short holiday in the lake district. The rooms were beautiful and the the food was fantastic. We even had an unexpected welcome tea and cake on arrival.
Clive and Caroline go out of their way to make you feel at home and welcome. I would highly recommend staying here!
Our eldest stayed in the shepherd’s hut at the Mount. The hosts , Clive and Caroline, kindly welcomed us for breakfast too. The food was lovely locally sourced produce. The location is fabulous. This is also a Pet friendly guest house. We highly recommended it.
Great stay at The Mount. Beautiful location, lovely room/house/garden and Caroline and Clive were amazing hosts. We also got to meet Peppa on our last day, which was a treat!
We had a wonderful 3 night stay at The Mount, Clive and Caroline are a great couple who are a pleasure to meet and very easy to talk to, they are also terrific hosts where nothing is too much trouble.
Room was comfortable, nicely furnished and quiet with a good bathroom having quality toiletries.
Excellent breakfast every day with vast choice and quality produce, an amazing selection of jams, marmalade and honey and we were lucky to be able to have breakfast each day in the garden.
Location is perfect for Cats Bells, Derwent water walks and access to Keswick, a nice quiet location just a short walk into Keswick for dinners, pubs and shops.
The Mount will definitely be our choice for many stays in The Lakes .

Stated for a couple of night’s, lovely property with great hosts who are extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was light and airey, plenty of space and all you needed was provided. Breakfast, ordered in advance was really nice indeed and plentiful, freshly prepared. Sat around the large dining table with the other guest’s was great for conversation and discussion of pmaces visited. Hosts, Clive and Caroline very knowledgeable and helpful. 15 minute walk to Keswick. Great vase for exploration. Very pleased we found the mount.
