    Had a lovely lunch there.

Nice lounge area where there were quite a few folks having food.

Staff were really good and helped accomodate our (biggish) dog.

Food was good, I had the GF fish and chips my partner had the fish pie. Both were well cooked and decent portions.

The Kings Arms staff is warm, welcoming and accommodating. They are very friendly and worked really hard to make our stay comfortable. The extended hours for the included breakfast were well appreciated. Although the rooms are small, the place was built in 1793, they are clean, tidy and comfortable. The Sherry was a nice surprise. )

I would have given 5 stars for service if it had been up to the standard of our first night (Friday) when only 2 people were serving the restaurant. Sadly 4 people weren’t able to keep up the standard on a Saturday night with a rather quiet night but I think there were a number of brand new staff on and most pulled together, we still enjoyed the experience. The food was great, not a huge choice but there are plenty of places to eat in Melrose if you can’t find anything suitable on the menu. I originally felt that the price was a bit high but considering we had breakfast for two people for two nights included I’ve reconsidered and I think we got excellent value. The food on offer was considerably better than your average pub grub. Parking in Melrose is not great but there is a pay n display car park within a couple mins walk. The staff were all lovely, great breakfast! I definitely recommend the full Scottish! Melrose is a delightful place and so pretty, lack of general parking aside, I’d definitely stay here again and I highly recommend visiting Melrose!

Very nice atmosphere. The food was delicious and staff very friendly. Only stayed for one night, but wanted to stay longer. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

Lovely pub in the heart of Melrose.
Lauren and the team make us feel so welcomed every time we visit.
Steak Club is our particular favourite…such good value…why wouldn’t you?
We’ll be back for New Year.
    Many thanks.
