We’ve stayed at Starbank Cottage twice. It’s a lovely cosy cottage, ideal for two people although possible for 3 using a sofa bed. It’s well-equipped, very comfortable and central. It’s especially ideal if you are going to Holy Island on Retreat as it’s tucked in behind a prayer room where people meet to pray twice a day.
The cottage Was perfect for our stay. Close to all the places we wanted to visit, right by the churches we have attended services in. Close to the shops, the priory and the sea. very quiet, no traffic noise. We parked right Outside the cottage. Attended some lovely prayer services in the meeting room and met lots of interesting people.
The cottage was warm, very well equipped. Very comfortable and clean. Very modern. And plenty of space for two people. Very eco-friendly. A place we would definitely want to stay in again.
A comfortable, spacious place to stay on Holy Island, especially just for one person. All the areas were very clean and the kitchen was ideal for self catering (especially having the instructions for the hob, oven and microwave).
Starbank Cottage is a lovely, welcoming place to stay with a prayer room and an amazing library downstairs. The cottage has everything you need and is very comfortable. Highly recommend.
A fabulous base on the island for retreat. Starbank is very well equipped, comfortable and warm, with space for a small family group or couple but ideal for a single person. Entry is through the prayer room but a real plus is not having to get dressed up and go outdoors for night prayer at 9pm!! Highly recommended!
