We absolutely love our stays at Rock Cottage in Bamburgh – it has become a special place where three generations of our family come together each year to make the most wonderful memories. The house is perfect for family gatherings, with its beautiful open-plan kitchen, sitting, and dining area where everyone can be together, as well as additional rooms that provide quieter spaces when you need a little retreat.
The cottage is always spotless and so well cared for, which makes it instantly feel welcoming and comfortable. Its location is ideal – just a short walk to the beach, where we’ve spent countless hours enjoying the sea air and scenery.
Rock Cottage truly feels like a home away from home, and it’s the perfect backdrop for our treasured family time. We can’t wait to return again next year.
We’ve just had a fantastic family holiday (age range from 18-88) in Rock Cottage. Great location spitting distance from the castle but also you can shut the door and remove yourself from the hustle and bustle of Bamburgh if you wish. Lovely outdoor space for alfresco dining and/or some badminton, great open plan kitchen/sitting room. There are 2 smaller snugs/sitting rooms if you want to escape the crowd and have some quiet time. The beds are so comfy and the showers powerful which is just what’s needed post a dip in the North Sea. The dogs loved it too … everyone was very happy. Big thanks
We had a fabulous week this year – our third year at Rock. The cottage was very comfortable and clean. Having five bathrooms was wonderful and the water pressure for the showers was excellent. A real bonus this year was having access to the Ocean Club swimming pool which went down really well with the children. We are looking forward to returning in the future.
Windy Edge cottage is the perfect place to stay in the middle of Bamburgh with great views to the castle and only a few minutes walk to the beach. A very quite and relaxing location. Everthing can be reached by foot. The booking was very easy. The first impression of the cottage is stunning and it was very clean. Very comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen and enough parking space available. We also enjoyed the castle green, the lunch at middle inn and of course the very nice buildings in the village.
Had a wonderful stay at Rock Cottage, it was the perfect place to have family to visit to celebrate Mums birthday. The Cottage is spacious, very well equipped and presented. We loved the en-suites in every room and everything was clean and fresh. There are great views and the location must be the best in Bamburgh, overlooking the village green and the castle, it is only a couple of minutes walk to the beach. We had a fabulous dinner at the Lord Crewe, which is only a couple of doors away. Loads of space for a large family, all the facilities you would expect, and some you will be pleasantly surprised by, I cannot recommend Rock Cottage more highly, will definitely stay again!
