Visited this centre as a school trip. We’ve been welcomed in a very home like environment with a worshipping area. The man who presented the centre to us was very patient and answered all the questions and listened answers or opinions of the children about Buddha and his life. Perfect host and teacher of a religious belief to little curious minds.

A beautiful space for meditation and learning about Buddhist teachings. Newcastle Buddhist Centre has their own space at last! Friendly people (you can ask them anything) and a welcoming atmosphere. An oasis in the city just near the bike shops on Westgate Rd, very near Discovery Museum. Highly recommended xx

The Meditation is fine but you have to listen to a lot of talking before hand….and it is a bit repetitive. I know it is a Buddhist centre but I don’t want so much Buddhist propaganda…I just want quiet time. I go instead to the Newcastle meditation centre now which is ideologically neutral.
