A fantastic holiday home and a perfect place for a family stay. The house was spacious, comfortable and very well set up for families.

The jacuzzi was a real highlight and the play rooms kept the children happily entertained, giving everyone a chance to relax. We had a lovely time together as a family and would highly recommend it — we’d happily return.

Beautiful cottage in a quiet location with stunning views of the cumbrian countryside.
Cottage was spotlessly clean, hot tub on the decking overlooking a small lake, very relaxing. Added touches on arrival such as chocolates and bubbly.
    We’ll certainly be back.

Very well equipped cottages. The overall location is a bit middle of nowhere and off a busy, country road (I think the whole region is a bit like that though) but generally you are in the heart of the action with all the big walks in the national parks and lakes just a short or hour drive away like Keswick which is named as John ruskin’s favourite view at friars Craig with stunning views of the mountains and lakeside walk, theatre, coffee houses and trails – which is not to be missed nor driving over the Scottish border to Gretna again about an hour away. The cottage itself is in a group of 5 or 6 and in its own secure compound so safe for dogs n kids. You cannot hear others or traffic inside the cottage. It is also set on a lovely area of fields with lambs and sheep and small water ponds. The roads are very good for driving. And masses of nice places to stop and grab snacks or meander. The Lake District national park starting point is close to Monkhouse hill about an hour walk or 5 mins car with heaths and Mountain View’s. Oh and if you like star gazing Cumbria is the best place to see constellations. Especially in the hot tub! Very comfortable beds and pillows – which is a thing – you sleep very well.

Recently returned from a lovely break having stayed in Chapel Beck cottage. Very well equipped roomy cottage and a lovely welcome pack. Loved the hot tub. Great location as just north of lakes so not busy in local villages with lovely walks and great eating places. Recommend and will be returning
