Great spot unfortunately the heating was uncontrollable as the WiFi was poor and the thermostat relied on it. Nicely laid out everything you need was to hand . We would definitely return.

Just got back from staying at Byre cottage..it was beautiful, spacious, and homely. A really stunning property.
Had a really good equipped kitchen, loads of space to put your clothes away, big rooms, wifi worked fine, could connect the tv up to prime and netflix using my own account, lovely views, lots of extra towels and blankets, heaters in all the rooms, constant hot water, just absolutely everything you need for an enjoyable time away, and we’re already looking at dates to return in the summer.
The only tiny thing I could think of thats missing is some hooks for coats and a check on some of the light fittings/bulbs as some were out, apart from that it was absolutely perfect and would highly recommend. (Pictures are at the end of our stay so a few things are out of place)

Just back from a short stay at Pheasant Lodge. The location is stunning however the accommodation was a bit of a let down. The furniture is extremely old and tatty and the beds were both wobbly and awful to sleep in. Front garden was also lacking attention, full of weeds and overgrown bushes. Such a shame when the cottages next door had perfectly manicured lawns. Definitely wasn’t an inviting garden to sit in. Never mind, as much as we’d love to return to the area we won’t use these lodges again.

    Great location.
The cottage could do with a deep clean, but other than that it was great
