Stayed at Hillcrest House on 16/8/2025:and had a lovely o/night. The gardens surrounding the house are very picturesque, and peaceful. An excellent breakfast was served as well.Andy and Nic,very friendly and informative and we highly recommend this B and B
What an absolute gem of a place. Great hosts, fantastic room (with bath), plentiful breakfast and close to the lovely town centre. Would definitely Highly Recommend as a great base to explore this beautiful part of the country.

I made a last-minute booking at Hillcrest & arrived late on a Friday night to a wonderfully warm welcome. I was shown to a lovely room with a beautiful view. Andy & Nic couldn’t have been better hosts. They’re fabulous. I had a lot of work to do, so they were happy for me to work on my laptop in the dining room, which was so helpful. I highly recommend Hillcrest. Can’t wait to go back!
Stayed for just one night whilst visiting family locally. Absolutely beautiful traditional old house, beautifully decorated with keeping of the building. The view we had was stunning and would love to see it in nicer weather!
Our breakfast was lovely, fresh, plenty choice and really nice to find somewhere who provide locally sourced produce.
The hosts were so lovely and friendly. Can’t wait to come back in the summer and also bring our dogs 🙂
