The pictures really don’t do the cottages justice.
Absolutely spotless, everything you need is there, there was a pint of milk, eggs and a scone n jam ( which were lush)
We stayed in Robin cottage , it is absolutely huge ,and so peaceful, opening the curtains and seeing the wildlife , hearing birds sing
Local shops are good , given there size,
Louise was there to greet and show us around , lovely lady .
Checkout is 10am , not 9 am as the booking site said .
Really enjoyable , and will definitely return
Owl Cottage provided us with excellent accommodation for our week exploring Northumberland.
Louise welcomed us and made us feel at home, right away. We found it to be very clean and fresh. The cottage is spacious in every room, with very comfortable beds, great showers and a lovely lounge overlooking the extremely well kept garden. We wished we had a kitchen/breakfast room like the one in the Cottage!
We needed for nothing and the Cottage was central for all areas of the County.

We’ve stayed here several times with our two very well behaved whippets and it’s absolutely fantastic, meeting all our needs. Great accommodation, friendly family business, lovely countryside and river walks, good pub food and ales nearby plus access to the fabulous Northumberland coast. A perfect holiday venue at any time of the year. Highly recommended.
Beautiful holiday cottages in an ideal setting. Lovely long walks in stunning countryside right on your doorstep. Louise was highly attentive and cottage was lovely and clean. A lovely quiet getaway, and great for dogs.
I cant disagree more with the last review, we have been coming here since 2015 and often twice a year, our favourite cottage is the Owl. Anyone choosing a cottage next to a Gun room and country store must expect some shots now and again. I must stress its not a firing range. We too have two sensitive toy dogs who dislike loud noises but the testing of guns is sporadic and never early or late in the day. Louse and her family try very hard to make her guests stay as enjoyable as possible. They would prefer any feedback during the stay so they can address any issues at the time rather than read about them later. Also to stress that during these troubled times the cottages are very clean and with Louises new sanitising fogging machine as Corvid free as they can make them which puts our minds at rest. First class accommodation coupled with a first class caring family to look after you. We are already planning next years return to this peaceful haven.
