We had a fantastic stay at the Low Todd Fell Barn conversion for a quiet birthday celebration. The barn was situated just outside of Kendal, with lots of greenery and amazing views. The barn itself was spacious and very modern with great bedroom views to the outside hills. Really easily to find and Hedwick Cottages ensured we had all necessary information prior to arrival and kept great communication throughout. I would definitely recommend Hedwick Cottages to anyone who want to have a relaxing and hassle free gateway to some fantastic lakes locations! Will be coming back in no time!!
Excellent service, beautiful cottage with lovely furnishings and well equipped; Aga and log burner were great for the winter break.
Would use Herdwick cottages again and Lola was very efficient and helpful either especially where to eat and grab great coffee👍
A very spacious property for up to 6 people.
We liked that every room had their bathroom facilities.
Property was extremely clean which is always a bonus. Well equipped kitchen.
When dealing with Herdwick cottages, the team where very forthcoming and dealt with my queries quickly & effectively.
We’ve had a wonderful week at no2, we felt very welcome and the lovely cottage was equipped with everything we could possibly need. The Lake District is definitely a favourite for our holidays.

We had an amazing stay in ‘The Hen House’ for our children’s birthday weekend. On arrival everything was exactly as the photos and descriptions had said. Immaculately clean and tidy. There were essentials like bread, butter, milk (and cakes) provided. The pod itself is sooo well equipped everything you would need from toiletries, to kitchen equipment (excellent coffee machine) and even wood and kindling for the fire outside. Honestly can’t wish for anything more! The surroundings of the farm are just beautiful we even got a little visit from a sheep and her two babies! The location is fantastic, a short drive from lots of places, we fitted in so much in our weekend due to the location of the pod. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were very sad when it was time to leave! We would definitely return and recommend to anyone!
