We stayed for a week in Beaconhill Cottage. This is our third holiday at Beaconhill and our second stay in Beaconhill Cottage.
The cottage is very spacious with a downstairs shower room, utility room, well equipped kitchen, lounge and large conservatory with an additional seating area and dining area. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and another bathroom.
We used the week to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Beaconhill. We used the spa daily and the kids loved the games room and multipurpose outdoor court. We brought some board games and we enjoyed a week of very little screen time!
We had family staying in our cottages and the large conservatory of Beaconhill cottage was ideal for entertaining.
We enjoyed lovely walks in the forest and down to Megâs Lake.
We love Beaconhill and will be returning again next year.
Just come back from a long weekend staying in the hideaway ‘Blue Grass’. What a great experience. The hideaway was cosy and included everything you needed including perfect views. The host Alun and Christopher really made you feel welcome, they provided so many little touches that just made our stay so much more. The spa, the observatory, games room and beautiful wild swimming lake. Everything is clean and well kept. Definitely recommend and will come back to try one of the cottages or the tree house đ
Our second stay, unable to book the treehouse so took one of the shepherd huts for 4 nights. A brilliant experience, loved it. Using the spa, swimming pool and Meg’s lake made our summer visit great. A self-catering gem, perfect for couples and families (if they stay in one of the cottages). Highly recommend
Our second stay here on a multi generational family holiday. Alun & Christopher have created a beautiful space (acres of it!) with activities for all ages. Weâve stayed at the north granary and south granary, both of which were comfortable. The spa is very well appointed, there is place for tennis and cricket and a games room. A special treat was the eclectic library we found in South Granary and it was struggle to pick the ones to read in seven days ! Morpeth, the nearest town has nice restaurants and shops while the countryâs best beach, Bamburgh is just a short drive away. We hope to be back again.
Beacon Hill is a very special place. I used to come here as a child with my family and I am very grateful that I can now bring my young children here to relax and make some special memories. The farm cottages have always been kept to a very high standard as has the swimming pool and gym. We were delighted to see that Alun and Christopher have added a pickleball court. My 4 year old had a great time giving it a go. It is a very safe environment for children and there is so much to do to keep them occupied. We had a great time toasting marshmallows in the wood this year.We will continue to come to Beacon Hill for years to come. Thank you for another great stay! The Troddens and Butlers
