Firstly what a little gem of a place. Welcoming was lovely, our pitch and all the other pitches were all good sizes.
Women’s showers on site are lovely it’s a new building, my husband said the men’s were a little small and nowhere really to put your belongings. But I’m sure the men’s showers will be upgraded like the women’s facilities, as it’s a new family that have taken over the site and as we all know things take time.
The restaurant & coffee shop was absolutely beautiful! The service and food was 2nd to none, they also have gifts/ artists displaying their work all to buy.
The view was outstanding Holy Island and Bamburgh straight out of your caravan window watching the sunrise and sunsets❤️. The road that brings you to Barn at Beal is the road to the causeway for Holy Island. There is also a path alsong side the road so you can walk to the causeway, also a loop of Barn fields if you want to do a walk with your dog. Dogs must be kept on a lead, it’s all tarmac/gravel which is great except the last bit it’s on farmers land so walking shoes are a must in case muddy. This route is also part of the C2C which is signposted.
There is also a little Bothy to rent which looked lovely.
We didn’t get to try the pub but we are definitely coming back beautiful place!

Turned up on a beautiful clear December day. Tide was out and we had a fantastic view over holy island
island. The food was really good with a good option for the breakfast of a normal or big version. The ladies working were lovely but perhaps were a bit too relaxed bear christmas as the service initially was slow. It did not detract from a nice breakfast with world class views.

Stayed three nights, great experience and facilities clean and tidy. Bar/restaurant two nights and service was excellent. Fish and chips were good.
Site was quiet as you’d expect in November….
Amazing view across to holy island.
Went for coffee however the staff were very busy with lunches. That was the only negative aspect as we just left but not a biggie.

The restaurant used to be a regular favourite of ours but our experience yesterday was very disappointing. It was also embarrassing as we’d taken overseas visitors.
Despite the visual cue of my wife’s walking stick and the fact that staff had acknowledged us, after five minutes we were still left standing. The place was half full at best and there were several tables free. At this point the four of us decided to get takeaways instead and sit outside where none of the tables were taken.
Two of us went in to order. The treatment we were given, notably by the older lady who seemed to be in charge, was unfriendly and curt to the point of rudeness.
Our drinks and cake did arrive in a timely manner but one of the tray bakes wasn’t what we ordered. Unfortunately one of our group had already cut into it so we let that go and didn’t complain.
Our four hot drinks and three pieces of traybake came to over £26. This was about 25% higher than at the other places we’d been to in the last fortnight. The portion sizes were considerably smaller too.
We may give this place another chance but will probably not bother.

We popped in whilst out exploring the area at the beginning of October.
Ample parking at the onsite car park.
We opted for scones and a hot drink, so for me a cheese scone and a pot of Earl Grey Tea. Quick service, friendly staff, and fully accessible.
Perfectly situated for visiting Lindisfarne (Holy Island), especially if you’re waiting for the causeway to be open.
Indoor and outdoor seating, stunning views. It was still blowing a hoolie as it was the tail end of Storm Amy.
We could see the campsite, accommodation, and bar onsite too.
Local produce available in the gift shop.
