If tranquility is what you are after then Armstrong Cottage is the place to be. Set just outside of the village of Rothbury with plenty of stunning walks nearby and beautiful views. The cottage is also close to the National trust site of Cragside a definite must to visit.
The Cottage is furnished and decorated to a very high standard, the kitchen is well equipped with high spec appliances and a well stocked Hamper welcomes you on arrival. The lounge has a log burner for those colder autumnal and winter nights. It is also equipped with a smart tv with sky and a smart speaker plus large settees to relax on whilst admiring the views across to Rothbury. The Cottage has three large bedrooms all furnished to a very high standard, the largest of the three bedrooms has a well equipped en-suite shower room.
Armstrong Cottage for us was one of the nicest properties we have ever stayed in. An ideal location to discover the stunning areas of Northumberland we will certainly be booking again!
This is a beautiful cottage equipped to a very high standard in a lovely setting.
It’s conveniently situated for nearby hill walking and golf and close to Rothbury town. I would highly recommend it.
Fantastic house with stunning views of the valley. Despite the feeling of being in an isolated location, you’re only 15min walk away from Rothbury.
The house was incredibly clean that included a number of homely touches that made the break special. Our host responded extremely quickly to any of our queries.

The most beautiful cottage and a perfect location for exploring Northumbria. The attention to detail here is perfect – all the furnishing are perfectly appointed and everything is so comfortable and cozy. The location is quiet with stunning views – and you can easily walk across the fields to Rothbury – which has all you need for your stay and lovely places to eat & drink. Highly recommend!
A wonderful cottage, very clean, well equipped and high spec. The welcome hamper was amazing, the best we have received from anywhere. The views are beautiful and there are some lovely walks right on the doorstep. Very convenient for Rothbury which has lots of amenities. Will definitely book to stay here again.
