I have stayed here twice now – in May 2025 and September 2025. I went for the midweek Rest and Reflect. Excellent value for money, welcoming volunteers, beautiful buildings and grounds. The room was superb with a nice bath to relax in and very comfortable bed. Meals are in communal dining room which meant that we all chatted together. Meditations and teachings were suitable for someone who has never been to a Buddhist Centre.

    I will be back! 🙂

A fascinating location for learning about Buddhism. A welcoming environment and a beautiful setting. The old house retains much of its original character and the grounds are a great place for a good walk.

I spent 4 delightful days at the Madhyamaka Buddhist Centre (April 2023) as a guest at the b&b. I suggest anyone head here for peace, tranquility, time to reflect and relax. Also to enjoy the grounds and try the meditations. Buddhism has peace, wisdom and comfort at the heart of its teachings.
Everyone at Madhyamaka is welcoming and warm. Thankyou to the staff, and the Buddhist teachers, especially Jade one of the hosts who was very helpful and couldn’t do enough for me to make sure my stay was pleasant.

I shall be returning very soon 🙏🏼✨

A very special place to come and re charge. Amazing grounds, people and fantastic food served like clock work. Massive thanks to all the residents and working visitors for making my stay so enjoyable.
