Great hotel in centre of Melrose. Rooms clean and tidy, staff great, breakfast excellent. Fantastic base for exploring Melrose.
A great place to stay with on street parking nearby. Handy for the Abbey and shops. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant was amazing value. Good quality and well cooked food. Had a couple of drinks in the bar and had great banter with some locals. Breakfast was equally good.
I will certainly come back. My only very small criticism is that the room decor was starting to get a bit tired. It was, however clean and comfortable . Nothing that a lick of paint wont fix.
Excellent pace to stay. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful, really comfy room, tasty evening meal and perfect poached eggs for breakfast. They stored our bikes in the restaurant overnight.
Restaurant meal for lunch. Lovely staff, very nice food. Lasagna tasty, fish and chips great. Garlic bread a little over done for liking but didn’t spoil the meal at all. Plates nice and warm for serving the food. Proper and I mean proper chips! Looked a couple of other places before deciding on The Station Hotel and kept seeing ‘string fries’ with the meals! Good grief, what is that all about! I am going back to The Station Hotel for nice chunky chips. We haven’t been to a good old-fashioned pub for ages, because we haven’t found a decent one. The place is very clean, good atmosphere and really good service. Thank you.
We Randomly stopped in for food as first place to walk past after coming off the Eildon Hills.
I’m glad we did. The burgers were tremendous and good value. Wouldnt find anything like that, at that price in Edinburgh.
