We spent 2 nights at this fabulous guesthouse in July for my birthday. Our first trip to the Lakes and the B&B was in a quiet location with a friendly owner.
Great room with a comfy bed, jacuzzi bath & good shower.
Plenty of choice for breakfast & delicious.
Free parking – the driveway is very narrow from the road.
10 minute walk into Ulverston town centre & easy access up to Hoad Hill.
Would stay here again – thank you!
Fab place to stay, full of character. Karen was lovely and breakfast was exceptional. Thank you.
A lovely house with great views.
Drive way and gates are very narrow, especially in a 7 seater.
Room was great and quirky, although very low due to being in the loft. Whirlpool bath was a nice feature.
Breakfast was superb and owners /staff are great.
Recommended.
what an amazing place! full of character, beautifully decorated. the host came out to welcome us after we parked what was so nice. When we entered the house the interior put smiles on our faces. Really unique and fascinating. Our room was on the first floor. Spacious and very clean with hand sanitizer available if we wished to use. Beautiful view of the garden. We had a bathroom in the corridor as all rooms en-suit were already full. It was not a problem as our bathroom was big with a bath and separate shower and also thoroughly decorated. Breakfast was superb: delicious and so much to choose from. And very generous. The host helped us to choose a countryside walk route and provided us with a detailed map and some useful advice. He was very nice, polite and helpful throughout the whole process of booking and during our stay. We will definitely go back. just a small advice: if you have problems with mobility be aware that this guest house is situated on the hill so if you want to get to the town centre to the pubs and cafes you will probably need a taxi to take you there and back. Walking distance is about 5-7min and the area is really nice.
The Stables are gorgeous self catering apartment with 3 large bedrooms a massive lounge and splendid fully equipped kitchen. Each bedroom has king sized bed and a sumptuous bathroom. One even has a whirlpool bath. Location is awkward in a large car with narrow gateway best entered in reverse. The approach is along narrow streets with parked cars
Ulverston is a nice town with narrow streets clogged with local traffic but the main road passes the centre and is wide and free flowing. I loved it.
