Didn’t stay but had dinner in the restaurant one night whilst staying in Melrose. The meal itself was stunning, we had the crispy shiitake mushroom burger, rare beef salad and chocolate fondants. Would absolutely recommend. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Absolutely will return next time I’m in Melrose

The food was delicious. Sadly I had a cold and was unable to enjoy what I really wanted but my family and partner loved the food. I had the burger and it wasnt dry it was perfectly cooked. The lamb leg was delicious and the pork was delicious…. I was told 😆
Didn’t stay in the hotel but had an evening meal in the restaurant. The restaurant is very sophisticated with nicely laid and separated tables. But best of all it is dog free, sadly increasingly rare for someone with a pet allergy, especially in Melrose where ‘dog friendly’ seemed to take precedence over ‘people friendly’ . Our meal was very nice but topped by the server, a very nice, friendly and local lady, who made our evening on a special occasion.
A wonderful weekend at Melrose. Thank you Burts Hotel and all of the staff that looked after us. You helped make our weekend special. Great place to stay, would recommend for any age.
