    Stayed in Fairway View Cottage.
The cottage is amongst 4 others all with fantastic views. Short distance into Rothbury with all the shops we needed. Coop for food and essentials.
The cottage itself is lovely, spacious and well laid out.
Comfortable super king size beds in 2 of the 3 bedrooms.
We found the WiFi quite slow and intermittent, phone signal (O2) good.
Although the cottage was very clean the curtains in living room were stained and could do with a wash.
Having stayed in many holiday cottages we did find a few bits were not supplied.
No kitchen roll or oil. We also didn’t find any kitchen tongs. Some bigger mugs would also be good.
In the information it mentioned about the decking can be slippery, for me the decking is an accident waiting to happen. When we arrived it was dry but our grandson fell over straight away. He loved playing on the decking but kept slipping over. Very dangerous for anyone not good on their feet which is a shame as the view is amazing.
I’ve never come across decking that’s so slippery. It either needs cleaning more regularly or some non slip matting put on it.
Overall we had a great time but the decking would put me off returning.

Had a wonderful stay here. Lovely and clean and well equipped. Views were amazing. Nicely out of the way but still within walking distance of shops. Christmas decorations were a lovely touch too. Would definitely book to go back.

W just came back from four fabulous days in Fairway View Cottage.
The accommodation is really spacious and very well appointed. Everything you might need is provided and of high quality – huge soft fluffy bathsheets were a stand out item for us.
The cottages are situated on a hillside just above Rothbury Golf Club. It’s a very quiet location but the town is only a 15 minute walk away on via the public footpath over the golf course.
The surrounding area is beautiful with the Simonside Hills only a couple of miles away.
The customer service is also very good. Local help is just a phone call away and nothing was too much trouble.
    We will definitely back.

Lovely cottage, with a little wooden patio and small lawn. Good parking. Lane quite narrow, bit of a walk from the town, but not too far. Could only be improved by more kitchen utensils/equipment.

Beautiful very well equipped cottage, clean and well looked after. Occasionally we saw the beautiful views and scenery, but it was a wet misty few days. ( Not the responsibility of the owner!) We had a wonderful family pseudo Christmas day and the two sparkly Christmas trees in the house were a lovely touch.
Kitchen very well equipped – we cooked a Christmas meal for 12. Outside enclosed space for dogs or children excellent but beware the terrace is wet and very slippy after rain. Parking spaces excellent. Would happily rent again – when the sun is shining
