Excellent service. Superbly appointed family run hotel. Rooms comfortable – finished to a high standard. Proper breakfast with decent sausages and bacon!
Had the best steak this year in the restaurant. Only minor negative is no carpark BUT plenty of spaces outside and if they’re full the sister hotel directly opposite has a large rear carpark.
Book it – you won’t be disappointed

I didn’t stay, had an evening meal, eaten here a few times. Good choice, well presented and cooked, friendly staff and atmosphere. Another customer wasn’t so happy, she had her meal replacement, which she finished and she wasn’t charged.
These guys could not have looked after us better. Very good breakfast and dinner, don’t miss out on puddings (or starters); lovely beer on tap, good whisky, a terrace and a golden location. At the end of the night we tucked up as a large group in the Bothy for a nightcap. We were very happy here and would recommend.
Stayed 4 nights for a tweed river fishing trip. I would highly recommend this family ran hotel in the heart of Melrose. Room was large, clean and comfy. The breakfast and dinners were excellent and the staff where friendly and attentive.
Handy location with great scenery and peaceful setting.
Food was great – I had scallops and my wife fish and chips with house white excellent: All well priced. Breakfast was inclusive and offered great choice – full Scottish was nice.
Room was superb, bed very comfortable. The shower was the most powerful ever – I could have been done in 45 seconds!
Staff very friendly and helpful.
