I had a wonderful retreat with our retreat in Menorca, this was my first one and I made new friends the people where lovely! The food and activities each day were wonderfully thought out and delicious! Amazing yoga and Pilates it has been one of the most special experiences of my life that will never forget! Lisa and Chloe are very special people and I’m so lucky to experience this wholesome retreat! Going back to London feeling like a new person rested and exited for life xxx
What an excellent retreat! From arriving at 42 Acres in Somerset and being met by Lisa, to the farewell lunch it has totally surpassed my expectations. The venue is fantastic, the classes by Chloe were very well thought through, challenging but guided and varied, the vegetarian cuisine was delicious and plentiful. I had a massage (optional extra) which was also very relaxing. Lisa has got this off to a tee and it ran like clockwork. I will definitely return to 42 Acres and probably to a foreign destination – I plan to make this an annual event with Our Retreat!
It is the first retreat I’ve attended and the bar has been set very high; other attendees had been on other retreats and said this was by far the best they’d been on.
This was my fourth visit to 42 acres for the ‘Our Retreat’ yoga weekend this December. Following a recent bereavement it was the perfect space to rest and reflect. Lisa is an ideal hostess. She is kind, inclusive and welcoming, with an incredible eye for detail which helps a wonderful well paced (each bit optional) timetable of yoga, meditation, pilates, lake swims and country walks run to plan. She also picks talented teachers to run the classes: Chloe created a beautiful atmosphere with carefully crafted classes and music with a clear and joyful delivery. 42 acres itself is a fabulous venue – comfortable, cosy and warm, with delicious locally produced vegetarian and vegan food. The whole weekend was designed to feel totally nourishing and it succeeded. Highly recommended.
One for your list!
If there is one thing you should do for yourself this coming year do this! Give yourself the gift of time. Taking time out of a busy schedule filled with work or family life is never easy, however having spent the most beautiful weekend with some wonderful women we all came to the same conclusion; we must make time for ourselves and do this again!

So warm and so welcoming from your first interaction to departure and beyond, Lisa’s mission to make sure each and every guest has the most wonderful time absolutely shines through. Lisa’s unwavering attention to detail and calm demeanour makes her the most perfect host you could wish for.
Chloe
The classes that Chloe carefully crafted were absolutely amazing. From her incredible breath work, to her interesting flows, uplifting music and just incredible good vibes meant she just left you wanting more. If Chloe lived in North London I would be making her classes part of my weekly schedule!
Location & food
42 Acres was the perfect place for us to elope to from London life. A home from home, a wonderful team, comfortable beds and the most delicious food. We swam in the lake, walked next to the beavers, visited the fields where all the produce grows and had a long walk around the local paths.. we felt so welcome and so at home throughout the weekend. Oh and did I mention the deep tissue massage!
The people
A great retreat is always filled with wonderful souls and what I can say that each and every person I met on the retreat was just my type of person. Kind with great energy, I wouldn’t think twice about attending one of Lisa’s retreats on my own, you will be taken care of and find yourself having wonderful conversations with such interesting people.
I came away from the weekend feeling so refreshed, incredibly nourished and so wonderfully restored that this will now be now firmly at the top of my list to do at least each year and rest assured if you book with Our Retreat, you won’t be disappointed ✨
