1st class place to stay . Everything you need . Real home from home , attention to detail in the furnishings / decor . Owner has managed a very good balance between rustic and modern . Will be back .

Lovely area but Poppy Cottage should be renamed Pongy Cottage!
It stank.
It wasn’t clean.
Extractor fan didn’t work in the bathroom until I got it going.
Smoke alarm at the bottom of landing beeping to say the battery was flat but it was in date until 2024. I think it was just protesting at the disgusting smell!
Carpet is threadbare on the stairs.
Wallpaper coming off in numerous areas.
Storage containers for bread, biscuits etc made with grease until we cleaned them.
Sandra the owners mum was a nice lady though
A lovely clean, comfortable cottage set in beautiful countryside. Close enough to drive to attractions in the area, Bamburgh castle, Lindisfarne Holy Island and more.
Lovely cottage we enjoyed our stay nice and quiet.
